Nim & team have just returned from a whirl wind trip to Tibet as participants in the 1st “China-Nepal International Rafting Friendly Match”.  The event took place in Lhasa, Tibet on the Yarlung Zangbo River on the 17th June with the purpose of developing international relations and co-promoting whitewater eco-tourism. 

The team was chosen by the Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies.  No members of the 1st place official Nepal National Rafting Team were available, leaving an equal selection of 2 members from both 2nd & 3rd teams chosen to work together to create a new team for the unique event.  Nim B Magar, Ram Ji Sedhai, Sunil Gurung & Dhiraj BC represented Nepal and came in 2nd place out of 7 teams in the in the R4 down river race.

Dinesh Yadav also represented Nepal in the Kayak down river race and came in 1st place.  

It was a successful event for both nations with promise of further support developing whitewater adventure tourism as well as sporting events in the future.
